Consultation has concluded

Mine View Road is a cul de sac approximately 110m long which intersects with Watts Road. At its southern end, it terminates in a cul de sac. The cul de sac adjoins the James Hammer Reserve, which also adjoins the nearby Playford Cresent.

A resident of Brukunga has requested the removal of the rocks which prevent vehicular access to James Hammer Reserve so that it can provide an escape route in the event of a bushfire.

To better inform a decision to either retain or remove the rocks, Council has resolved to undertake consultation with the local Brukunga township community seeking feedback on the proposal to remove the rocks and the pros and cons of doing so.

Our preferred method of feedback is via the quick survey below but you may also provide your feedback by:

  • emailing to yoursay@mountbarker.sa.gov.au;
  • posting to Infrastructure, Mount Barker District Council, PO Box 54, Mount Barker SA 5251; or
  • calling us on (08) 8391 7200 and speaking to Paula Overy

Please provide your feedback to be received by Council by 5.00pm Friday 20 May 2022.

Results of the consultation will be reported back to the June 2022 Council meeting to inform any future Council decision regarding the rocks.
