What is hardwaste?

    Hardwaste generally refers to large and bulky items that cannot fit in a regular bin. 

    Common hardwaste items include: fridges, washing machines, couches, cupboards, wardrobes, e-waste, furniture, mattresses, building material, and similar items.

    What evaluation criteria are Council considering?

    Council are reviewing and evaluating potential hardwaste models against various criteria including:  

    • High resource recovery, 
    • Equitable to all residents, 
    • Cost effective, 
    • Flexibility, and 
    • Administration.
