Consultation has concluded
In a view to better managing the long term strategic objectives for the Kanmantoo township, the Mount Barker District Council has prepared a draft Township Plan in consultation with internal departments and a number of community groups in Kanmantoo.
Purpose of the Township Plan
The Kanmantoo Township Plan (the Plan) will guide the future of Kanmantoo over the next 20 years. The Plan is intended to assist the Mount Barker District Council in delivering coordinated projects, planning and services for the township. It will also inform initiatives of external agencies such as community groups, private individuals, government agencies and the business sector who play a pivotal role in the future of Kanmantoo.
The Plan will:
Provide a long term vision for the township of Kanmantoo
Identify opportunities to facilitate economic prosperity
Respond to the changing diverse needs of the community
Describe priorities and opportunities for improving infrastructure, the public realm, and open space.
Community Consultation
Community consultation on draft Kanmantoo Township Plan is open from Wednesday 15 November 2023 to midnight on Wednesday 13 December 2023. During this time, community is invited to provide feedback through one or more of the following ways:
Attending a drop-in session on Saturday 02 December 2023 from 4pm to 7pm at Hutton Reserve, 26 Old Princes Highway, Kanmantoo
