Consultation has concluded

Council staff have commenced a coordinated planning exercise to investigate the potential for community facility and open space improvements at the Hahndorf Bowling Club at 2/43A Church Street, Hahndorf.

The Hahndorf Township Plan (2018) identifies a key action to “continue to develop the Bowling Club facility as an important community space and investigate possible options for surplus land within the Bowling Club grounds”.

The Hahndorf Bowling Club have approached Council with the concept to sell part of the existing site (Parcel A) on English Street as a means to fund improvements to both the Hahndorf Bowling Club and reinvestment into the site through the development of a neighbourhood reserve on the underutilised lower green.

The draft concept plan has been developed to a point where it is considered suitable to form the basis of community consultation and following endorsement by Mount Barker Council at its meeting on 6 October 2020 we are now seeking stakeholder and community feedback relating to the intent of the concept and design report.

Community consultation runs from the 19th October 2020 until the 16th of November 2020 with a community consultation open day 30th of October 3pm to 7pm at the Hahndorf Bowling Club. Information will also be available at the Bowling Club during their opening hours.
